The Executive Director of Administrative Services is requesting approval for Brandon Valles, Turner Aquatic Supervisor to attend the annual 2024 National Recreation and Park Association Conference in Atlanta GA. October 8 - October 10

2.4 Out-of-State Travel to MAEA Fall Conference
Action
  Summary:
Requesting permission for a staff member to attend the Missouri Art Education Association fall conference on October 4th in Lebanon, MO. The only cost to the district will be the substitute as the conference is included with the staff members membership in the professional organization.

C) Donations/Grants
2.5 Merriam Optimist Club Donation to Turner Middle School After School Activities
Action
  Summary:
Donation of $750 from the Merriam Optimist Club to support after school club activities at Turner Middle School. This donation will be used to buy supplies for clubs like Student Council, SciArt Club, Art Club, and more.
 
  Recommendation:
Motion to accept $750 donation from the Merriam Optimist Club to support after school clubs at Turner Middle School.

3.1 Public Comments Info
  Summary:
"The board appreciates patrons taking time to talk to us about USD 202 policies and procedures. We set aside this time every meeting to hear from the public. Your comments should be directed toward board policies or the procedures administrators establish to carry out those policies.

This is not an appropriate time or place for patrons to make comments of a personal nature about any district employee or anyone else. Persons making comments that violate the privacy rights of district employees will be asked to terminate their remarks.

Prior to making comments, those who wish to speak need to state their name and address for the record. We would also like to remind those speaking to the board comments shall be no longer than 3 minutes.

If the board refers your concern to an administrator for investigation, the board will hear about it in a future meeting, and you can expect the superintendent or another district employee to make arrangements to meet with you at the appropriate time. Thank you again for taking time to discuss district business with the board".
